Diamond Stage Night charity concerts raise 5 million TWD in Taipei

The ‘Diamond Stage Night’ charity concert series, led by entertainer Hu Gua, recently concluded two performances at the Taipei International Convention Center. The events successfully raised nearly 5 million TWD through ticket sales and donations from artists and corporations. The proceeds, along with three home care service vehicles, will be donated to the Hu Hua Foundation to support elderly citizens.

Hu Gua, who served as a host and performer, reported significant physical strain from organizing the event, including vocal issues and gastrointestinal distress. Due to the difficulties in securing venues and ongoing renovations at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, he indicated that the charity concert may be suspended for one year.

The performances featured various artists, including Kang Kang, Ou Di, Lai Hui-ju, and Wang Jianqi, the latter of whom received significant investment from Hu Gua. The event also saw Hu Gua hosting alongside his daughter, Hu Xiaozhen, marking a rare public appearance for the pair together.
