Huacalera hosts third edition of Viñedos de Altura trail race

The third edition of the ‘Viñedos de Altura’ trail competition is taking place in Huacalera as part of the ‘Desafío TTT’ program. Organized by the Government of Jujuy through the Secretariat of Sports, the event features distances of 5K, 10K, 21K, and 35K for men and women of all ages.

More than 600 athletes from Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, and Bolivia have registered for the event, which has reached its full capacity. The competition includes a variety of disciplines such as trail running, trekking, and triathlon. As a precursor to the main race, a ‘Kilómetro Vertical’ event was held with 40 participating athletes.

Sports Secretary Luis Calvetti noted that the program continues to grow and serves as a driver for internal tourism within the province.
