Huacalera named Emerging Destination at FED Awards 2026

Huacalera has been named ‘Emerging Destination’ at the FED Awards 2026, one of Argentina’s most significant honors in the tourism industry. The awards ceremony took place at Colón Fábrica in the La Boca neighborhood of Buenos Aires.

This recognition follows the previous year’s success for the Jujuy province, which was voted ‘Tourist Destination of the Year’ in September 2025. The new award for Huacalera, located in the Quebrada de Humahuaca, is seen as a milestone for local residents, entrepreneurs, hoteliers, and the gastronomic sector. The distinction supports regional strategies to diversify tourism hubs in northern Argentina by highlighting areas with strong cultural identities and growing service offerings.
