Hualien hosts cultural celebrations and pomelo harvest festivals

Hualien is hosting a series of cultural and agricultural events to boost local tourism and the economy. In Ji'an Township, celebrations for the 80th anniversary of Hualien's establishment are underway at the Wanshan Temple square. The festivities combine religious blessings, folk arts, and local revitalization markets, featuring performances such as the Nine Heavens Folk Arts Troupe and community displays.

Simultaneously, the Hualien County Government is promoting the autumn pomelo harvest through the '2026 Hualien Pomelo Fragrance Market' at Pacific Park. This event features over 100 stalls, a collaboration with the IP brand Esther Bunny, and themed experiences like pomelo DIY activities. To expand the reach of local produce, the government has also launched a branded sparkling wine made from local pomelo juice.
