Hualien hosts international arts and K-pop music festivals

Hualien is hosting a series of major cultural events, including the 2026 Hualien International Arts Festival and the 2026 Hualien K-Pop Acoustic Concert.

As part of the International Arts Festival, the Polish Puppet Clinic Theater will perform ‘Tarabamba Circus’ on October 30 and 31. The production features giant animal puppets, including a singing giraffe, a roaring lion, and a trumpet-playing elephant, utilizing a ‘non-violent circus’ concept that replaces live animals with artistic puppetry to promote respect for life.

The Hualien K-Pop Acoustic Concert recently concluded its two-day run, featuring international and local talent. Performers included the girl group AtHeart, singer Liang Wen-yin, Korean producer SHAUN, and Lee Chae-yeon. The event concluded with a headline performance by Ryeowook of the K-pop group Super Junior.
