Hualien launches 2026 Pacific Hot Spring Season

The Hualien County Government has launched the ‘2026 Hualien Pacific Hot Spring Season,’ a month-long event running from October 17 to November 15. The festival focuses on the historic hot spring areas of Ruisui and Antong, aiming to showcase the region's natural landscapes and local culture.

The opening ceremony, held at the Ruisui Tianhe International Hotel, featured musical performances by singer and actor Fan Yi-chen and Golden Bell Award winner Chang Hui-chun (Saya). The event included light shows and a fireworks display to mark the start of the festivities.

A key highlight of this year's season is a collaboration with the popular anime IP ‘Chie Maruko-chan.’ The partnership seeks to connect the nostalgic themes of the series with the local memories and family-oriented experiences of the Ruisui and Antong hot spring districts. Planned activities include night tours, cycling explorations, local markets, and stamp collecting challenges.
