Hualqui to open first JUNJI-administered nursery and kindergarten

The municipality of Hualqui will welcome its first classic JUNJI-administered nursery and kindergarten, the “Las Galaxias” center, scheduled to begin operations on August 24. Located at 174 Tegualda Street, the facility is designed to expand public early childhood education coverage in the region.

The new educational unit has a capacity for 48 children, consisting of 20 spots for nursery care (Sala Cuna) and 28 for middle level (Nivel Medio). The infrastructure includes climate control features such as heating and air conditioning to ensure comfort across seasons.

Local officials, including Biobío Education Seremi Teresa Carrasco and Hualqui Mayor Ricardo Fuentes, participated in a recent tour of the facilities. They noted that the center aims to provide high-quality initial education and a secure environment for children aged 84 days to 4 years and 11 months.
