Huamantla industrial development expands with Walmart and new companies
The industrial landscape in Huamantla, Tlaxcala, is expanding through significant investments in logistics and manufacturing. Walmart de México is constructing a new distribution center (CEDIS) with an investment of 4.8 billion pesos. The facility, which is 94 percent complete in its civil works, will utilize robotics and artificial intelligence to supply 382 stores across five Mexican states. The project is expected to create 1,300 jobs.
Additionally, six companies are preparing to establish operations within the Huamantla Economic Development Pole for Wellbeing. Among these, the Argentine cosmetics manufacturer Colorlink and the domestic firm Rebelbox have already begun site preparation. Other projects are in various administrative stages, with one expected to begin construction in November. The Fideicomiso de la Ciudad Industrial Xicohténcatl (FIDECIX) plans to expand the complex by 7.8 hectares to accommodate further national and international capital.
