Tlaxcala prepares for 2026 fair and Huamantla anniversary celebrations

Preparations for the 2026 Tlaxcala Fair are nearing completion, with construction progress reported at approximately 86 percent. Antonio Martínez Velázquez, the state government's communications coordinator, stated that workers are finalizing details to ensure facilities are ready for visitors. A media tour is scheduled for October 22, with the fair expected to open to the public on October 23 and run throughout November.

In Huamantla, celebrations for the municipality's 492nd anniversary will include a focus on local traditions. On October 16, the Museo Taurino de Huamantla will host a conference titled ‘La Importancia de la Tauromaquia en Huamantla’. The event will feature awards recognizing individuals for their significant contributions and long-standing participation in the town's traditional bull runs, which are central to the area's cultural identity.
