Various reports of student misconduct and abuse across Latin America and the US

Various incidents of misconduct and violence involving minors and educational institutions have been reported across Latin America and the United States.

In Argentina, a 16-year-old student at San Francisco Javier College is under investigation after a video surfaced showing him petting a cat before stepping on its head in Temperley. The school has issued a statement repudiating the act.

In Peru, the Archdiocese of Arequipa is investigating severe bullying and physical assault at San Jerónimo College. A student reportedly suffered a nasal fracture during an attack by former classmates. In Huancayo, a student at Mariscal Castilla School was reportedly tied up and assaulted by peers during a group assignment.

In Chile, the director of Efraín Campana Silva School in Osorno has been suspended following allegations that the administration failed to protect a student with moderate intellectual disabilities from physical and psychological abuse.

In Mexico, authorities are investigating claims of mistreatment at Benito Juárez Primary School in Piedras Negras, where a student was allegedly forced to stay outside in high temperatures as punishment for a uniform violation. In the United States, a gym instructor in Escárcega faces allegations of sexual abuse involving a minor client.
