Huancuire community celebrates 27th anniversary with Minera Las Bambas

The Huancuire peasant community in the Cotabambas province celebrated its 27th anniversary, marking over two decades of collaboration with Minera Las Bambas. The community, established in 1999, held various activities including horse racing, an agricultural fair, and artistic presentations to commemorate the milestone.

Javier Ochoa Núñez, president of the Huancuire community, recognized the growth of the community since its founding. Claudio Cáceres Franco, Vice President of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs at Minera Las Bambas, highlighted that the long-term relationship has fostered communal enterprises and created opportunities for younger generations.
