Huang Jun finds success selling mangoes via livestreaming
Huang Jun, a 28-year-old former office worker from Shenzhen, has successfully transitioned to agricultural entrepreneurship in Guangxi, China. By utilizing livestreaming technology to sell his family's mangoes, he has achieved sales of 15 tons per month, earning an income higher than his previous corporate salary.
His family has farmed mangoes for over 20 years, but previously relied on middleman traders, which led to volatile pricing and risks associated with the perishable fruit. After teaching himself how to interact with customers and demonstrate product quality through live video, Huang Jun has bypassed traditional supply chains to connect directly with consumers.
