Huang Li-cheng launches Taiwan Coin meme coin on Robinhood Chain

Huang Li-cheng, known as Machi Big Brother, launched a meme coin named ‘Taiwan Coin’ (TAIWAN) on the Robinhood Chain in the early hours of September 1. The token had a total supply of 1 billion coins, with minting fees costing approximately $1.35.

The coin experienced extreme volatility, with its market capitalization surging to a peak of $1.587 million within five minutes of launch. However, within nine hours, the market value plummeted by approximately 88%, leaving it at roughly $180,000.

A unique aspect of this launch was the liquidity pool pairing. Unlike most meme coins that pair with ETH or stablecoins, TAIWAN used tokenized TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) stock on the Robinhood Chain as its primary liquidity pair.

On-chain data indicates that Huang did not retain any TAIWAN tokens for himself; the entire 1 billion supply was transferred directly into the liquidity pool contract immediately upon minting. This unusual move has led community speculation that the action may have been a test of the Robinhood Chain ecosystem rather than a traditional profit-seeking token launch.
