Huari culinary route concludes in La Paz with international chefs

The Huari Ruta del Gusto gastronomic initiative concluded its final stage in La Paz, Bolivia. The program hosted Michelin-starred Bolivian-German chef Hans Lange Rodríguez alongside German chefs Daniel Wallenstein and Jaspar Max Erdmann to explore the city's culinary diversity.

The itinerary included visits to traditional locations such as Mercado Rodríguez and Mercado Lanza, where chefs sampled local staples like jawitas, as well as contemporary culinary spaces including Alipacha, La Boliviana, and Chenko. The experience culminated at the restaurant Gustu, known for its focus on Bolivian ingredients and contemporary cuisine.

Through this initiative, Huari aims to promote national flavors and foster pride in Bolivian gastronomy. The project will lead to the creation of “El menú que el mundo debería probar” (The menu the world should try), a selection of dishes identified by the chefs as representative of Bolivian cuisine.
