Huasco launches community writing workshop for seniors

The Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, in coordination with the Municipality of Huasco, has announced a free community writing workshop titled ‘Letras Comunitarias’ for senior citizens. The program aims to foster mental health and creativity by allowing participants to share memories and stories through prose, poetry, or narrative.

The workshop will be led by local writers Irma Rojas, Gabriela Navarro, Ximena Araya, and Eva Olivares. The resulting works are intended to be compiled into an anthology book. Sessions are scheduled for Wednesdays and Thursdays from September 2 to October 1 at the Centro Cultural Padre Luis Gil in Huasco.
