Huatusco man detained after wife found dead in home

Authorities in Huatusco have detained Jesús Adame following the discovery of his wife, 24-year-old Meredith Martínez Quezada, dead inside their home. The victim was found on Tuesday morning in the city center.

While initial reports suggested the death might have been self-inflicted, investigators noted inconsistencies in that version of events. Forensic experts reported that no objects related to suicide were found at the scene. Additionally, reports indicate the couple had engaged in a heated argument the previous day.

The case is currently being investigated under the line of feminicide. The Fiscalía is working to determine the exact circumstances of the death and the responsibility of the detained individual, who will be presented before a judge.
