Huawei and Chery to launch Luxeed RX electric SUV

Huawei and Chery are preparing to launch the Luxeed RX, an ambitious large electric SUV coupe. The vehicle is expected to feature up to 594 CV and a declared range of 852 km under the Chinese CLTC cycle.

Following the introduction of a new 81 kWh battery, the pre-sale price has been reduced by approximately 10% to 269,800 yuan (roughly 35,100 euros). A larger 100 kWh battery option will also be available. The SUV is built on Huawei’s Tuling platform and utilizes a new generation of electric motors, with the all-wheel-drive version delivering approximately 594 CV.

The vehicle measures 5.02 meters in length and 2.007 meters in width. The design was led by Werner Gruber, a former Ferrari designer. An official presentation in China is scheduled for September 28, though it remains unclear if the model will be marketed in Europe.
