Huawei and HIPA complete nationwide photography project in UAE

Huawei has concluded “The UAE. A Closer Look.”, a photography initiative conducted across all seven emirates. The project was developed in collaboration with the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) and local tourism authorities.

Photographers used Huawei’s Pura 90s Series smartphones, utilizing the XMAGE imaging brand to document the United Arab Emirates' heritage, landscapes, and contemporary identity. HIPA provided coaching on composition and visual storytelling, while tourism partners facilitated access to various locations.

The journey covered diverse sites, including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi, the Museum of the Future in Dubai, and the Mleiha Archaeological Centre in Sharjah. Other locations included Fujairah Fort, Al Zorah mangroves, and mountain areas in Masfout, as well as sites in Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ajman.
