Huawei and partners expand smart vehicle and software ecosystems

Huawei and its automotive partners are expanding their presence in the high-end vehicle and software markets. The luxury brand Maextro (Zunjie) is preparing to launch a large SUV, expected in Q1 2027, to complete its lineup of sedans and MPVs. This expansion involves continued collaboration between JAC Motors and Huawei.

In the smart cockpit and software sector, Huawei has released HarmonyOS 7 Beta updates for older devices like the Mate 60 series, introducing features such as eye-tracking page turning and enhanced power-saving modes. New vehicle models are also integrating advanced Huawei technologies: the Luxeed R7 refresh will feature a 26-inch HUD and new interior colors, while the Qijing GX7 will utilize Huawei XPIXEL projection headlights and an 88-inch AR-HUD.

Additionally, the Hongqi HS5 has been recognized as a leader in quality experience within the domestic Chinese SUV segment according to the 2026 AQR research, highlighting its focus on comfort and intelligent cabin features.
