Huawei and XWeb launch smart electronic labels for retail

Huawei and XWeb have launched Smart Electronic Labels, a technological solution designed to modernize retail operations in supermarkets, pharmacies, and convenience stores. Part of the cloud-based Huawei Smart Retail kit, these digital mini-screens are placed next to products to display prices, discounts, item information, and QR codes.

The system allows for the simultaneous and immediate update of thousands of prices and promotions in real time, eliminating the need for manual label replacement. By integrating directly with inventory systems, the technology provides more precise data on stock levels, which is particularly beneficial for large chains with high product turnover or frequent promotional changes. This automation aims to reduce material costs, minimize errors, and allow retail staff to focus more on customer service.
