Chinese automakers launch new premium electric flagship models
Chinese automotive manufacturers are intensifying competition in the premium electric vehicle market with several new flagship launches.
Yijing Auto, a brand born from a deep collaboration between Dongfeng and Huawei, has opened pre-sales for its X9 flagship model, priced between 299,800 and 379,800 yuan. The X9 emphasizes a ‘full-stack native co-creation’ model with Huawei, integrating advanced smart driving and specialized interior features like zero-gravity massage seats.
In the luxury sedan segment, BYD’s Denza brand has begun delivering its Z9S model to 101 stores across 61 cities. The Z9S, starting at 319,800 yuan, features high-performance specifications including a 1,100km CLTC range and rapid charging capabilities.
Meanwhile, the premium SUV market is seeing a shift toward ‘tech-luxury’ models. The Luxeed G9, a flagship SUV from the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, launched with prices starting at 429,800 yuan, securing 5,000 orders within its first 24 hours. It aims to bridge the gap between traditional luxury SUVs and rugged off-road vehicles through enhanced smart technology and outdoor-oriented features. Additionally, Voyah has revealed the Dreamer 9, a flagship MPV positioned in the 500,000 yuan segment, expected to launch later this year.
