Huawei Digital Power expands intelligent energy storage solutions
Huawei Digital Power has announced new energy management developments in Spain and Mexico aimed at optimizing battery usage and grid stability.
In Spain, Huawei Digital Power España has partnered with the independent energy platform Spock. This agreement integrates Spock’s AI-based Energy Management System (EMS) with Huawei residential batteries. The system analyzes household consumption profiles, contracted rates, and hyperlocal weather predictions to determine optimal charging and discharging schedules. This integration is designed to allow users to participate in flexibility markets, potentially achieving average savings of 60% per displaced kilowatt-hour.
In Mexico, Huawei Digital Power México presented intelligent energy storage solutions tailored for data centers and critical infrastructure at the ALPE Summit 2026. The company highlighted technologies such as LUTERRA, which utilizes a 1,000V AC architecture and AI to manage power supply and backup. A key feature is grid-forming capability, which provides frequency regulation, inertial response, and autonomous startup capabilities to support active grid stability during power interruptions.
