Huawei expands tablet lineup with MatePad Air Z and Pro Max
Huawei has expanded its tablet lineup with the introduction of the MatePad Air Z and details regarding the MatePad Pro Max.
The MatePad Air Z features a 12-inch PaperMatte Ultra HD Eye-Care display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 2.8K resolution. Designed to reduce reflections, the tablet is available in two versions: a Standard model with 66W charging and an Enjoy Edition with 40W charging. Both models are equipped with a Kirin T93S23 processor, HarmonyOS 7, a 10,100 mAh battery, and a six-speaker stereo system. Pre-orders for the MatePad Air Z have commenced in China via the VMall store.
Regarding the MatePad Pro Max, Huawei highlighted its advanced design architecture, which utilizes a mortise and tenon structural technique inspired by traditional Chinese woodworking to increase bend resistance by up to 60%. The device incorporates compact components, including a 12MP front camera, quad-drive speakers, a flexible OLED panel, and high-silicon-anode battery technology to maintain a thin and lightweight profile. The MatePad Pro Max is noted as the first tablet in the industry to receive Rheinland certification for bend resistance.
