Huawei launches Mate 90 flagship series in China

Huawei has officially launched its Mate 90 flagship smartphone series in China, featuring five distinct models: the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition, and the Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design.

The series debuts HarmonyOS 7 and utilizes new proprietary Kirin chipsets, including the Kirin 9030 and the advanced Kirin 9050 Pro. High-end models like the Pro Max feature dual-layer OLED displays capable of reaching a peak brightness of 12,000 nits, alongside improved battery life and energy efficiency.

A major highlight is the new modular photography system. The Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition is set to debut with the Ruiying Z10 modular camera, which includes a 1-inch sensor and supports a teleconverter for enhanced optical zoom capabilities. The lineup also introduces advanced RYYB sensor technology and the Red Maple color processing system to improve imaging quality.
