Huawei launches 11th ICT Competition for Middle East and Central Asia

Huawei has announced the 11th edition of the Huawei ICT Competition for the 2026-2027 cycle, targeting students and teachers across the Middle East and Central Asia. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by providing practical technology skills in rapidly evolving sectors.

The competition features three main categories: a Practice Competition covering networks, cloud, and computing; an Innovation Competition focused on artificial intelligence; and a Teaching Competition designed for industry-education collaboration. Participants progress through national and regional rounds toward a global final.

In Morocco, Huawei has partnered with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation to launch a national tour. The first stop was held at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, where students were introduced to the Huawei e-Talent platform, which offers free educational resources and expert-led certification courses.
