Huawei launches FreeBuds Neo wireless earbuds
Huawei has introduced the FreeBuds Neo, wireless earbuds positioned between the budget FreeBuds SE and the flagship FreeBuds Pro series. Priced at approximately €130, the device features active noise cancellation and high-resolution audio capabilities.
Designed for both commuters and gamers, the earbuds include specialized technology for first-person shooter (FPS) games. Through the HUAWEI Audio Connect app, users can configure sound effects to better identify critical acoustic signals like footsteps and gunfire. The hardware utilizes a third-generation audio chip capable of processing environmental data 400,000 times per second with a latency of 8 microseconds.
Technical specifications include support for the L2HC 4.0 protocol (up to 2.3 Mbps) when paired with Huawei devices, and LDAC support for other platforms. The earbuds feature a Turbo driver with a frequency range of 10 Hz to 48 kHz and an IP55 rating for sweat and light rain resistance. Each earbud weighs 4.8 grams, and the charging case features a modern, matte-finish oval design.
