Huawei launches WATCH D3 medical-grade blood pressure smartwatch

Huawei has officially launched the HUAWEI WATCH D3, a smartwatch featuring medical-grade blood pressure monitoring capabilities. The device is notable for being the first wrist-worn wearable to meet ISO standards for accurate blood pressure measurement both before and after physical activity.

The watch utilizes a mechanical airbag integrated into the strap, combined with high-precision sensors and an adaptive algorithm, to provide readings similar to conventional blood pressure monitors. It has received CE Medical Device certification for resting blood pressure measurement, Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), and pre- and post-exercise monitoring.

Key features include 24-hour monitoring, which allows for customizable daytime intervals and quiet, automatic nighttime measurements to minimize sleep disruption. The device is designed to help users with hypertension or those focused on cardiovascular health track long-term trends through the Huawei Health app, which generates detailed reports and charts.
