Huawei launches Mate 90 series with Kirin 9050 Pro chip

Huawei has officially launched its Mate 90 series in China, introducing a lineup that includes the standard Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, and the luxury Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design. The series features the new HarmonyOS 7 operating system and advanced Kirin processors, notably the Kirin 9050 Pro, which utilizes a unique 3D 'LogicFolding' architecture to enhance processing density.

The flagship models offer significant hardware upgrades, such as the Mate 90 Pro's Linglong tandem OLED display with a peak brightness of 12,000 nits and Kunlun Glass protection. The Mate 90 Pro Max distinguishes itself with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera and the ability to support three active SIM cards simultaneously by combining two physical SIMs and one eSIM.

Photography is a central focus, with the introduction of the Ruiying Z10, a modular camera accessory featuring a 1-inch RYYB sensor and a 24-240mm optical zoom range. The series also incorporates AI-driven features like XMAGE Smart Shooting and enhanced time-lapse capabilities. The Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design model is positioned as a premium luxury device, starting at 12,999 yuan.
