Huawei and Honor announce new MatePad Air and Honor 600 Series devices

Huawei has launched the MatePad Air (2026), a premium 12-inch tablet featuring an OLED PaperMatte display designed to reduce reflections and mimic the texture of paper. The device is characterized by its lightweight design, weighing 509 grams with a thickness of 5.3 mm. It is powered by a Kirin T93C processor, includes 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and features a 10,100 mAh battery with 66W fast charging. AI-driven productivity tools, such as AI Handwriting Enhancement and an AI Tutor, are integrated into the HarmonyOS ecosystem.

Simultaneously, Honor is expanding its product lineup with the Honor 600 Series. The Honor 600 Elite 5G features a 6.87-inch TFT LCD display, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, and a high-capacity 8,100 mAh battery. The device is noted for its durability, with IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings and resistance to water temperatures up to 85°C. Additionally, the Honor 600S is scheduled to launch in the Philippines on October 1, 2026, offering AI-powered creative features like Image to Video 2.0 and 5G connectivity in a more accessible price point.
