Huawei launches new MatePad Air tablet in China and Philippines

Huawei has officially launched the new generation of its MatePad Air tablet in China and the Philippines.

In China, the device is available starting at 3,499 yuan for the Joy Edition and 4,299 yuan after applying national subsidies. The tablet features a thin design weighing 509g and measuring 5.3mm, powered by Kirin T93B or T93C processors running HarmonyOS 6.1. It includes a 12-inch OLED cloud-clear soft light screen with 2,000 nits peak brightness and advanced eye protection technology.

In the Philippines, pre-orders for the MatePad Air are open from September 11 to 17, 2026. The promotional price is set at PHP 59,999, down from the standard SRP of PHP 64,999, which includes various bundle perks. This model features a 12-inch 2.8K PaperMatte OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 10,100mAh battery, and PC-level productivity tools such as the WPS Office Suite and AI-enhanced HUAWEI Notes.
