Huawei launches Pura 90s smartphones for global market

Huawei announced that its Pura 90 series will be rebranded as the Pura 90s line for an upcoming worldwide launch. The international rollout will feature the Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max, with the latter keeping the series’ signature gradient‑back design in an “orange‑sea” colour scheme. Both models use the Kirin 9030S processor, a 6.9‑inch flat display with 1‑120 Hz LTPO adaptive refresh, Kunlun glass protection and a 1/1.28‑inch RYYB sensor with 4× optical zoom and OIS.

Leaks suggest the global versions will run a new EMUI 16 interface built on Android 16, a shift from the EMUI 14/15 versions previously used outside China. In China the devices run HarmonyOS 6.1, but the international software change could represent a major upgrade for overseas users. Pricing and exact availability for markets outside China were not disclosed, with further details expected at the launch event scheduled in the coming days.
