Huawei launches Pura 90s flagship smartphones, MatePad Air tablet and FreeClip 2 S earbuds globally

Huawei held a global flagship launch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, unveiling the Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max smartphones. Both run on the new Kirin 9030S chipset, ship with EMUI 16 (HarmonyOS 6.1 in some markets), support 5G and eSIM, and are rated IP68/IP69. The Pro features a 6.6‑inch LTPO OLED display, 12 GB RAM and a 6,000 mAh battery with 66 W wired/50 W wireless charging. The Pro Max adds a 6.9‑inch display, a 200 MP periscope telephoto sensor with 4× optical zoom, 100 W wired/80 W wireless charging, and a 40 MP ultra‑wide lens. Both phones include AI‑driven camera tools such as AI Composition, AI De‑Glare, AI Move and AI Remove.

Alongside the phones, Huawei introduced the MatePad Air 2026 tablet, a 12‑inch OLED panel with 144 Hz refresh, 10,100 mAh battery, Kirin T93C processor and optional PaperMatte display coating. The launch also featured the FreeClip 2 S open‑ear earbuds, which use a clip‑on C‑Bridge design, 10.8 mm drivers, Bluetooth 6.0, IP57 rating, up to 9 hours of playback (38 hours with the case) and a price of RM 899 in Malaysia.

Pricing announced for the smartphones starts at MYR 3,699 for the Pura 90s Pro and MYR 4,899 for the Pro Max. The devices are available for pre‑order in Malaysia with plans to roll out to other Asian, Middle‑Eastern and European markets in the coming months. The launch was marketed under the slogan “Now is Your Moment.”
