Huawei launches Watch D3 with advanced blood pressure monitoring
Huawei has introduced the Watch D3, a specialized smartwatch designed for advanced health monitoring. The device features a built-in miniature inflatable cuff within its strap, utilizing the oscillometric method—the same principle used in clinical blood pressure monitors—to provide reliable blood pressure readings.
Key health features include 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), electrocardiogram (ECG) capabilities, and blood oxygen tracking. The Watch D3 also offers new functionality to measure blood pressure before and after exercise, providing alerts if readings are too high to safely perform strenuous activity. Additionally, the device includes tools for assessing diabetes risk and monitoring heart health.
In terms of design, the Watch D3 is thinner and lighter than previous generations, featuring a 1.92-inch AMOLED display and a metal body. It is compatible with both Android and iOS and includes over 100 sports and training modes. The Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro is also part of the brand's updated lineup, offering enhanced metrics for activities such as cycling and skiing.
