Huawei launches Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro smartwatches

Huawei unveiled its next‑generation smartwatches, the Watch GT 7 and the premium Watch GT 7 Pro, at a launch event in China on 5 August 2026. The GT 7 is offered in 41 mm and 46 mm cases, while the Pro version is available only in a 46 mm titanium case with sapphire‑glass front.

Both models use 466 × 466‑pixel AMOLED panels that can reach a peak brightness of up to 3 000 nits. Battery life is extended, with the 41 mm GT 7 lasting up to 14 days in light use (about 7 days in typical use) and the 46 mm GT 7 up to 21 days (12 days typical). The Pro model can run up to 21 days in power‑saving mode and includes a depth sensor for free‑diving to 40 m.

Health and sport features are expanded: Huawei’s TruSense suite monitors heart rate, SpO₂, skin temperature, sleep, stress and arrhythmia detection; the Pro adds an ECG sensor. New sport modes include a Pro Ski mode that records G‑force and provides maps for more than 3 000 ski resorts across 59 countries, as well as enhanced cycling, golf and running functions. Connectivity includes dual‑frequency GPS, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and a speaker/microphone for calls.

Pricing in China starts at 1 588 yuan for the 41 mm GT 7, 1 688 yuan for the 46 mm GT 7 and 2 688 yuan for the GT 7 Pro. Pre‑sales began on 5 August, with shipments slated for 14 August (standard models) and 28 August (Pro). The launch event also introduced the second‑generation MateBook Fold, but that product is covered in a separate story.
