Huawei launches X2 series routers with book-inspired design

Huawei has officially commenced sales of its X2 series routers, featuring a unique book-shaped design intended to blend into bookshelves. The lineup includes the standard X2 and the X2 Pro, with prices starting at 478 yuan for the base model and 588 yuan for the Pro version.

The X2 Pro model offers three color options—Earth Brown, Oak White, and Stone Grey—and features a magnetic shell that can be easily removed. To encourage customization, Huawei provides 3D models for users to print and create their own DIY covers.

Technically, the series supports Wi-Fi 7+ and is powered by the Lingxiao 760 series chip. Key features include AI Mesh networking, which uses floor plans uploaded via the Huawei Smart Life App to recommend optimal placement, and Starlink (NearLink) technology to enhance gaming performance and smart home connectivity. The routers are compatible with over 3,200 brands of smart devices.
