Huawei leads global wearables market in H1 2026

Huawei has maintained its leadership position in the global wearables market during the first half of 2026, according to a report from IDC. The company secured the top spot in shipments with a market share exceeding 20%.

This performance follows a trend where Huawei has held the top position in the Chinese wrist-worn device market since 2021 and has frequently led the global market since 2024. Analysts attribute this success to the company’s product evolution strategy and a diverse portfolio designed for various lifestyles and fitness needs.

Key product releases in early 2026 include the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2, which features a ‘Marathon mode’ and ‘Running Power’ measurement. In collaboration with marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge, the company also launched the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition, which includes a ‘Training Camp Dashboard’ for advanced data analysis. Additionally, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Series introduced a ‘Mini-workout’ function aimed at users seeking quick, easy exercise routines during daily activities.
