Huawei Mate XT2 rumored to feature U-shaped design and higher price
Leaks regarding Huawei’s upcoming Mate XT2 tri-foldable smartphone suggest significant design and pricing changes. Reports indicate the device may move away from the previous generation’s S-shaped accordion-style folding mechanism in favor of a U-shaped design, where the two outer sections fold inward simultaneously to protect the flexible display.
Visually, the Mate XT2 is rumored to return to a square camera module, a design reminiscent of the Huawei Mate 20 series, replacing the octagonal module used on the current model.
Regarding cost, recent rumors from Chinese sources suggest the Mate XT2 could be more expensive than its predecessor across all memory configurations. This potential price increase is attributed to the use of premium materials and next-generation components. While previous estimates suggested a price reduction, current speculation points toward higher costs, though Huawei has not officially confirmed any commercial details.
