Huawei nova 16 sells 1 million in 39 days; Honor 600 launches in Taiwan

Huawei's nova 16 series, launched on June 5, includes standard, Pro, Ultra and the nova 16z models built on Kirin 9010S or 8020 processors and priced from 2,699 CNY. The phones feature a 7,000 mAh battery, 100 W fast charging, HarmonyOS 6.1 and a range of camera configurations. Within 39 days of sale the nova 16 line surpassed one million units sold, the fastest milestone among this year’s four major mid‑range Chinese brands (vivo S, OPPO Reno, Honor digital and Huawei nova).

In Taiwan, Honor introduced its 600 series, with the 600 Pro (12 GB RAM / 512 GB storage) drawing the most demand. In the first three days, 1,000 units were sold, boosted by AI image‑to‑video conversion features and a promotional campaign featuring influencer Li Duohui. The “Sunrise Orange” colour accounts for about half of sales, and the 600 Pro is priced at NT$29,990. Honor plans to open five additional physical stores across Taiwan by the end of 2026 to enhance after‑sales service and customer experience.
