Huawei outlines AI strategy and launches new service plan
Huawei leadership has outlined strategic directions regarding artificial intelligence, computing, and service expansion. Guo Ping, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, stated that Huawei’s core strategy is to focus on its strengths in connectivity and computing rather than broad business expansion. In the ICT and computing sectors, Huawei aims to support customers in building large-scale models using its Ascend and Kunpeng platforms, rather than focusing solely on its own proprietary models.
Addressing semiconductor challenges, Guo noted that while advanced manufacturing processes remain constrained, Huawei intends to use architectural innovation and integrated design-to-manufacturing advantages to close the gap. He also confirmed that Huawei will continue to lead Yinwang, its subsidiary providing intelligent automotive components.
In a separate development, Huawei’s Kunling brand announced the ‘Jingwei Plan’ during a product launch in Shanghai. The initiative aims to establish a ‘3-kilometer direct’ on-site service network across 300 cities in China. The plan involves collaborating with over 15,000 engineering partners to improve service response speeds. Additionally, Kunling reported global shipments exceeding 4 million units under its recent strategy, alongside the release of new integrated networking and security products.
