Huawei rolls out HarmonyOS 7 for wearables and nova smartphones

Huawei has begun rolling out HarmonyOS 7 updates across its ecosystem, including the Watch Ultimate 2, Watch FIT 5 series, and the nova 12 and 13 smartphone series.

For wearables, the update introduces enhanced health analytics, including a new assessment of physical readiness and improved sleep monitoring that tracks stable sleep duration. The Watch FIT 5 Pro specifically receives pulse wave arrhythmia analysis, integrated ECG functions, and access to coronary disease research projects. Additionally, a virtual family space and emotional health tracking features are being introduced.

On the smartphone side, the HarmonyOS 7 Beta for the nova 12 and 13 series brings several functional improvements. These include remote file sharing, 3D space wallpapers, and an upgraded 'Huawei Share' for more seamless cross-device collaboration. New software capabilities include intelligent recording with mind-map generation, text-based calling for accessibility, and AI-driven fraud detection through voice change recognition and web risk monitoring.
