Huawei schedules Mate 90 flagship launch for September 2026

Leaks indicate that Huawei will unveil its Mate 90 flagship series in September 2026, moving the launch two months earlier than the usual November window. The series is expected to include the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max and a premium RS Ultimate edition, all running the upcoming HarmonyOS 7 and a new Kirin chipset.

The foldable Mate XT 2 is reported to follow a separate launch timeline, allowing Huawei to spotlight its foldable line independently. The earlier release positions Huawei to compete directly with Apple’s expected autumn iPhone announcements and extends the visibility of its premium portfolio throughout the second half of the year.
