Huawei launches HUAWEI WATCH D3 with medical-grade blood pressure monitoring

Huawei has introduced the HUAWEI WATCH D3, a smartwatch featuring medical-grade blood pressure monitoring capabilities. The device utilizes a mechanical airbag system within the strap to provide physical compression, allowing for more accurate readings compared to the optical sensors used by many competitors.

At the MEA Tech Innovation Talks in Dubai, held alongside the ISH-ECS 2026 conference, experts discussed the role of wearables in managing hypertension and cardiovascular health. The WATCH D3 supports 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), enabling users to track blood pressure trends during both day and night. The device has received CE Medical Device certification in the European Union.

In Mexico, the watch has been launched with a focus on addressing chronic health challenges like hypertension. Huawei has also established the Wearable Blood Pressure Technology Innovation Fund in collaboration with the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) to support ongoing research into hypertension management.
