Huawei to launch HUAWEI WATCH 6 in Japan on November 5

Huawei Japan has announced the release of the HUAWEI WATCH 6, scheduled for launch on November 5. Available in 46mm and 42mm models, both versions are priced at approximately 71,280 yen.

The new flagship smartwatch features the advanced “HUAWEI X-TAP” sensor module, which combines PPG and pressure sensors to enable the “Health Glance” function. This allows users to check up to nine health indicators, including heart rate, blood oxygen, and ECG, in approximately 60 seconds. The ECG application has received medical device approval in Japan.

Key technical improvements include a high-brightness sapphire glass display reaching 3,000 nits and a thinner, lighter design. The 42mm model weighs approximately 38g. The device supports eSIM for standalone calling and introduces a “Safety Watch” feature that shares location and health data with up to three registered contacts. Additionally, the watch supports dual-smartphone connectivity, allowing it to pair with two different devices simultaneously.
