Huawei unveils 10 strategic directions for Intelligent World 2035

Huawei has introduced its 'Intelligent World 2035' vision, outlining 10 strategic directions to address the technological and infrastructural challenges posed by the rise of agentic artificial intelligence. Through two new research reports, 'Intelligent World 2035: Turning Vision into Action' and the 'Global Digitalization and Intelligence Index 2026', the company explores how AI is shifting from a digital tool to a core component of industrial and social processes.

The reports highlight a significant transformation in digital infrastructure requirements. It is projected that annual global token consumption could increase 100,000 times by 2035, with over 90% of relevant traffic originating from AI agents. To support this, Huawei identifies a need for increased computing power, advanced storage, AI-optimized networks, and more efficient chips.

David Wang, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Rotating Chairman of Huawei, noted that while the direction of change is clear, realizing this vision requires concrete action to reshape operational models and industrial dynamics. Additionally, the Global Digitalization and Intelligence Index 2026 suggests that AI could generate cumulative economic value exceeding $27 trillion over the next five years.
