Huawei unveils AI education solutions and new AI firewall technology

At the HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 summit in Shanghai, Huawei introduced two major initiatives focused on artificial intelligence: the AI Practice LAB (AIPL) solution and the AIFW Technical White Paper.

The AIPL solution aims to transform higher education by bridging the gap between theoretical learning and industrial requirements. By utilizing real-world scenarios, anonymized data, and engineering tools, the solution helps universities prepare AI professionals with practical skills. This initiative is accompanied by the ‘AI+ Practical Teaching White Paper’ to support the development of human resources for the digital and intelligent era.

Simultaneously, Huawei released the ‘Huawei AIFW Technical White Paper’ to address evolving cybersecurity threats such as prompt injection and data leaks. The new AI Firewall (AIFW) architecture shifts security from traditional rule-based matching to intention-based management. By integrating AI-native hardware and Large Language Models (LLMs), the system can understand semantic context and perform risk reasoning to protect AI computing centers and LLM operations.
