Huawei unveils AI‑enhanced MatePad Pro Max tablet
Huawei introduced its latest flagship tablet, the MatePad Pro Max, at a launch event in Jakarta on 22 July 2026. The 13.2‑inch device features a flexible OLED PaperMatte display with a 3000 × 2000 resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate and up to 1600 nit brightness, while weighing around 509‑535 g and measuring just 4.7 mm at its thinnest point. It is powered by the Kirin T93 Pro processor, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, and runs HarmonyOS 4.3. Huawei highlighted a suite of AI‑powered productivity tools, including Smart Create, PDF Summarize, Generate Slides, Grammar Polish, AI‑enhanced Notes with handwriting improvement, equation recognition and Live‑Multitask, aimed at delivering PC‑level efficiency on a portable tablet. The tablet ships with a 10,400 mAh battery supporting 66 W wired fast charging and 40 W reverse charging, and is priced at roughly 9,988 in local currency. Reviewers praised the premium design, display quality and multitasking capabilities, while noting the high price and modest battery endurance.
