Huawei unveils grid-connected AIDC solution and HarmonyOS 7
At the Huawei Connect 2026 event in Shanghai, Huawei introduced several major technological advancements focused on AI infrastructure and operating systems. The company unveiled its grid-connected AI Data Center (AIDC) solution, designed to maximize the number of tokens obtained per watt of power. This solution addresses the challenges of power procurement, quality, and heat dissipation through innovative power architectures, liquid cooling, and multi-layer hybrid energy storage systems.
By integrating computing and energy infrastructure, the AIDC solution aims to transform data centers from fixed loads into essential components of the power system, helping to smooth out the intense power fluctuations caused by AI workloads. Huawei also introduced HarmonyOS 7, which features a new Agent architecture. This update shifts the operating system from a model of “human seeking services” to “intent as a service,” allowing devices to better understand user intent through the Intelligent Agent Framework 2.0 and Celia AI.
