Huawei unveils Mate XT 2 tri-fold smartphone with Kirin 9050 Pro
Huawei has officially unveiled the Mate XT 2 Ultimate Design, a second-generation tri-fold smartphone. The device features a redesigned inward-folding G-shaped hinge mechanism intended to better protect the internal displays compared to its predecessor. When fully unfolded, the device provides a 10.2-inch OLED display with 3K resolution, while the 6.5-inch external cover screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone is powered by the new Kirin 9050 Pro chipset, which utilizes LogicFolding architecture to improve performance and power efficiency. It also debuts HarmonyOS 7, which includes enhanced AI capabilities and spatial computing features. The device includes a hardware-level privacy display option to limit viewing angles in public settings.
Other technical specifications include a 5600 mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging, an IP58/IP59 rating for dust and water resistance, and a quad-camera system featuring a 50MP main sensor. In China, the device starts at 19,999 yuan, with higher-tier configurations reaching up to 29,999 yuan.
