Huawei unveils MateBook Fold Ultimate Design foldable laptop

Huawei announced the second‑generation MateBook Fold Ultimate Design, an 18‑inch foldable OLED laptop. The device uses a dual‑layer tandem‑stack OLED panel with a resolution of 3296 × 2472 pixels and peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits. A new UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) composite structure filled with a non‑Newtonian fluid claims 90 % higher impact resistance and ten‑fold greater bend durability. The laptop folds to a 13‑inch format, weighs about 1.16 kg, and is 7.3 mm thick when open. It runs HarmonyOS 6.1 on a Kirin X90 Plus processor, with options for 24 GB or 32 GB RAM and storage from 512 GB to 2 TB. Three colour finishes are offered: Streamer Gold, Phantom Black and Skyline White. Pricing starts at 24,999 RMB and tops out at 29,999 RMB (approximately $3,700‑$4,450 USD). The product is being launched in China, with no official sales channel announced for the Czech market yet.
