Huawei unveils new AI infrastructure and networking solutions at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026

At the HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 event in Shanghai, Huawei unveiled a series of technological advancements aimed at supporting the global transition to artificial intelligence.

In the realm of networking, the company introduced its Intelligent WAN Target Architecture designed for Internet Service Providers (ISPs). This architecture facilitates the shift from traditional bandwidth sales to AI service delivery by integrating connectivity, computing, and APIs. Additionally, the upgraded Stellar AI WAN Solution was presented to address cross-region computing challenges, aiming to reduce efficiency losses and costs through advanced model partitioning algorithms.

Regarding computing infrastructure, Huawei revealed the UnifiedBus (Lingqu) interconnection architecture. This system is designed to improve resource utilization in large-scale clusters, supporting everything from single cabinets to million-card clusters. New hardware, including the Atlas 960E and TaiShan 950 superpods, was also introduced to enhance AI computing and data management.

In the energy sector, Huawei Digital Power showcased grid-forming and AI-driven solutions for renewable energy and AI data centers (AIDC). These innovations focus on maximizing token-per-watt efficiency and stabilizing power quality through hybrid energy storage and smart microgrids.

Finally, Huawei addressed specialized sectors by launching the Fintelligent AI Solution for the financial industry and the AI Practice LAB (AIPL) to support AI-driven education and talent cultivation.
